Profile

John enjoys a varied general practice, with a focus on civil litigation and municipal law.  He was listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada® in municipal law. A seasoned litigator, John has handled all manner of matters and claims, including insurance defence, corporate/commercial litigation, construction law, contract disputes, and real property claims. He has appeared before all levels of Court in Newfoundland and Labrador, including Provincial Court, Supreme Court General Division and the Court of Appeal.

He holds a Master of Arts degree in History, and graduated from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. He was admitted to the Bar of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2003. When not in the office, he can generally be found hiking, skiing or snowshoeing in the backwoods of Newfoundland, or else floating off the coast in a bright red sea kayak.
