John Taylor-Hood Associate

John enjoys a varied general practice, including civil litigation, municipal law, residential and commercial real estate, and estate planning. He is a seasoned litigator, having handled all manner of matters and claims, including insurance defence, corporate/commercial litigation, construction law, contract disputes, and real property claims. He has appeared before all levels of Court in Newfoundland and Labrador, including Provincial Court, Supreme Court Trial Division and the Court of Appeal.

John serves on the Board of Directors of Riddle Fence, a journal of Newfoundland and Labrador arts and culture. He is also a member of the Athletics Northeast Running Club, and is active in the running and triathlon communities of St. John’s. He holds a Master of Arts degree in History, and graduated from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. He was admitted to the Bar of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2003.
