Michaela P. Brophy is an associate lawyer with the firm and maintains a general practice. She enjoys civil and criminal litigation and has experience assisting clients in resolving employment, municipal, family, estate, and insurance defense matters.
Originally from the Southern Shore, Michaela completed her articles with the firm and was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 2020 following her graduation from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law in 2019. In 2016, upon her acceptance to UNB Law, Michaela was awarded the Tore Grude Entrance Scholarship. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology and Religious Studies as well as a Certificate in Criminology from Memorial University.
Michaela’s community and volunteer involvement spans numerous organizations of a local, national, and international variety. Michaela’s most memorable volunteer experience was the several weeks she spent volunteering with the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto.
Outside of her work and community involvement, Michaela spends time with (aka: is an obedient servant for) her two cats – Freddie Meow-cury and Steve Claw-gers.
