Benson Buffett would like to provide notice that our firm appears to be having issues receiving a small percentage of emails from certain service providers such as Bell Aliant.
It appears that Microsoft Office 365, which our firm uses, has increased their security standards to prevent fraudulent email, as a result email messages sent to us using an un-authenticated outgoing email server are rejected outright and are not delivered to the recipient.
The senders may not receive any notice that their emails were not sent properly, and we are not receiving any notice that an email was sent. Therefore if you have sent an email message to our firm and haven’t received a response within 24 hours you may fall into this category. If you are unsure whether we have received an email that you have sent us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the name of the person to whom the email should be directed.
Please check with your I.T. Support to review your email settings and ensure you are using the proper outgoing email server settings. As an example Bell clients would need to follow the recommended settings found here.
